WorkMonitor for in-office teams
Being at the desk was never the same as doing the work
A full office tells you attendance and nothing else. Focus, fragmentation and capacity are the signals that explain why a present team still misses the date.

Rollout
Measuring a co-located team where attendance is already 100%
- 1
Measure focus rather than presence
Deep-work stretches and context switching, because in an office everyone is present and the number carries no information.
- 2
Price the meeting block
Fragmentation correlated with meeting density, so the cost of a recurring block is a figure rather than a complaint.
- 3
Compare load across teams
One capacity signal at person, team and org level, so rebalancing is not decided by whichever manager argues hardest.
- 4
Give everyone their own view
The transparency view and dispute route matter more, not less, when the manager is sitting ten feet away.

Co-located management today
A manager’s impression, formed across the room and never written down.
Being watched
With WorkMonitor
A defined capture policy, per-app deny-lists, and an access log that includes administrators.

The status meeting, already written
Status is normally assembled by asking. Here it is already: hours, activity, attendance and risk on one board, for one person or the whole company. Set the thresholds once and it tells you who needs you.
Jobs to be done
The jobs a co-located team runs here
- Score productivity & focusOne score per person, team or company, with the breakdown behind every one. Your categories rather than our defaults, and a capacity signal that names who is running hot.
- Track time automaticallyNo timer to start, no Friday reconstruction. Idle is split out rather than estimated, and approved hours reach payroll and invoicing without a re-key.
- Monitor apps & websitesEvery app and site classified, every day replayable as a timeline. You see which tools are eating the week and which teams they are fragmenting.
- Monitor legally & stay compliantVersioned consent, a capture scope that cannot quietly widen, retention and DSAR handling, and written guidance for 32 jurisdictions before you roll out in one.
Straight answers
The questions we would ask in your position
Every answer here is the one you would get on a call. Open as many as you like; they stay open, so two can be held side by side.
Because seeing people answers attendance and nothing else, and attendance is the one question a co-located team already has covered. The value is in the part nobody can see from across the room: whether the day produced sustained focus or four hours of twenty-minute fragments, and which team is actually over capacity rather than merely busy.
The over-the-shoulder version already happens in an office, informally, with no record and no recourse, which is the harder one to defend. Here everyone can see their own data, every score opens into the activity behind it, per-app deny-lists keep named tools out of the record entirely, and access to someone’s data is itself logged. The deployments that go wrong are the ones that skip that part.
The signals come from the agent. macOS is live along with a VS Code companion; Windows, Linux and a browser extension are in beta. Manual time entry exists for work off the machine, and a mobile app for deskless teams is planned rather than shipped.
Yes. Capture policies can be scoped to working hours and the per-app deny-list keeps named applications out of the record entirely, applied on the device before anything is transmitted.

The software is the easy part of a rollout
Here is what we would send a manager doing one for the first time: how to read a productivity number, what to say to a remote team before anything is installed, and a policy you can adopt as written.
Point it at one team for a week.
Create the account, put the agent on a handful of desks, and leave it alone. On Friday you read the week instead of reconstructing it: hours against their projects, focus and idle per person, and the timesheets already filled in.
