Affiliate Programme Terms
These terms govern participation in the WorkMonitor Affiliate Programme, operated by Digital Socket LLC ("WorkMonitor", "we", "us"). They apply to both the partner track, which anyone may apply to, and the customer referral programme available inside the product.
They are written to be read. Where a rule exists to stop somebody being paid for a referral they did not make, we have said so plainly rather than burying it.
Eligibility
Anyone over the age of majority in their jurisdiction may apply. Applications are reviewed by a person and we may decline one without giving a reason, though we usually will.
Existing WorkMonitor customers do not need to apply. The referral programme is available in the product to any workspace member, and it pays in account credit by default.
Attribution
A click on your referral link is attributable for 90 days. Where somebody has clicked several affiliates' links, the most recent click before signup is the one credited.
A workspace is attributed once, at the moment it is created, and is never re-attributed afterwards. Referring an account that already exists earns nothing.
Attribution requires that your affiliate account is active at the time of the signup. A suspended or closed account keeps a working link, but that link stops earning.
Commission
The partner track pays 20% of what a referred customer actually pays us, for their first 12 months. The customer referral programme pays a fixed $100 to the referrer and $100 to the referred workspace, once, after the referred workspace has been subscribed for two months.
We may change these rates. A change applies to referrals made after it takes effect and does not re-price commission you have already earned.
Commission is calculated on amounts actually received. Tax, refunds and failed payments are not commissionable.
Holding period, refunds and chargebacks
Commission is held for 30 days after the payment that earned it. This is the window in which a refund or chargeback could still reverse that payment.
If a payment is refunded or charged back, the commission it earned is reversed. That review is carried out by a person: the referral is flagged when the refund reaches us, and a member of our team adjusts the balance. Where the commission has already been paid to you, the adjustment is carried as a negative balance and set against future commission rather than invoiced back to you.
We tell you when we adjust a balance, and why. We do not adjust balances silently.
Payment
You may withdraw cleared commission once your balance reaches $50. Existing customers may instead take it as credit against their own WorkMonitor subscription, which has no minimum.
Cash payments require payout details and a completed tax form. We cannot send a payment without both.
You are responsible for any tax arising on commission you receive.
What is not allowed
Referring yourself. Signing up through your own link — with your own email address, your own account, or into a workspace you control — earns nothing. A signup from your own company's email domain is held for review rather than paid automatically.
Bidding on WorkMonitor brand terms in paid search, or running ads that could be mistaken for our own.
Unsolicited bulk email, or any promotion that would breach the recipient's local marketing law.
Representing yourself as WorkMonitor, or making claims about the product that we have not made. Discount codes, guarantees and pricing you invent are not ours to honour.
Coupon, cashback and voucher sites, unless we have agreed to it in writing beforehand.
Suspension and termination
Either of us may end this arrangement at any time. If you end it, cleared commission remains payable.
We may suspend an account where we believe referrals have been manufactured rather than earned. We will tell you why, and cleared commission for referrals that are not in question remains payable.
Commission on referrals we determine to be fraudulent is forfeit.
Data
Your dashboard shows how many people clicked, signed up and converted, and what you earned from each. It shows a shortened workspace name so you can recognise your own referral; it does not disclose the referred company's identity, contact details or usage. They are our customer, not your lead.
We record a click's approximate origin and a one-way hash of the visitor's IP address and browser, to detect manufactured referrals. We do not store the address itself.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes are notified to active affiliates by email, and take effect for referrals made after the notified date.
