Is WorkMonitor watching me outside working hours?

No. WorkMonitor only captures activity while your tracked session is actually running. Selecting Stop ends the session and clocks you out; selecting Pause stops the clock without clocking out. Either way, nothing is captured until you start again.

What this means for you

You're the one who decides when tracking is active: signing out, closing your laptop, or selecting Pause or Stop all mean nothing is being recorded. Time with no keyboard or mouse input is also recognized automatically as idle rather than counted as work, so a break during your day is never held against you. Some organizations additionally restrict a specific capability to certain scheduled hours. When that's set, Controls shows the exact window it applies to, right alongside the capability.
