Monitoring scope changes

See a complete, tamper-evident history of every time your organization widened what WorkMonitor watches, including which capability changed, who changed it, and when.

Who this is for

Owners. This page needs the permission that manages the whole organization, and only the Owner role carries that permission by default. A Manager's default permissions cover day-to-day capture settings but not this page.

What you'll see

• A page titled Monitoring scope changes, with "Watch the watchers" underneath it, and, once the data loads, a chip reading "Chain intact · [count]", or, if the record's integrity check ever fails, "Chain failed verification."
• An introduction: *"Every time this org widened what it watches (a capability switched on) appears here, each one proven by a tamper-evident audit event. Monitoring never grows in the dark."*
• Three window buttons (30 days, 90 days, All time) that change how far back the list looks.
• A table titled Monitoring expansions, with columns When, Capability, Changed by, and Audit event. There's one row for every capability that was switched on, including its sensitivity and whether it requires consent.
• A footnote clarifying what's shown: *"Signals are capability-level: the audit trail records which capability was switched on, by whom and when, not the specific team or schedule window. A plain enable and a widened schedule both appear here as an expansion."*

What happens next

There's nothing to do here but read. This page is a record, not a control. If the integrity check ever fails, WorkMonitor says so directly rather than hiding it: "Governance chain failed verification", *"The expansions below are shown for transparency, but their provenance cannot be trusted until the chain is investigated."* Treat the listed expansions as unverified until that's resolved.

If it doesn't work

• If you don't hold the right permission, or your organization's plan doesn't include this page, you won't see the introduction or the table at all. Instead you'll see: "Monitoring scope changes are available to owners." That single message covers both causes, so if you're already the Owner and still see it, the real blocker is most likely your plan, not your role.
• If the data fails to load for another reason, you'll see the error along with a Retry button.
• If there's genuinely nothing to show, you'll see "No monitoring expansions on record. Your monitoring footprint hasn't grown" (or the equivalent wording for the window you picked).
