Raise a dispute

Challenge an automated decision about your work (a score, an alert, a screenshot, or another decision), and a person is required to review it before it stands.

Who this is for

Every member. A dispute is always about your own record, and only you can raise or withdraw one you filed. Nobody files a dispute on your behalf.

Steps

  1. Open Disputes.
  2. Under Challenge a decision, answer What are you disputing? Choose A productivity score, An alert raised about me, A screenshot that was kept, An automated decision (other), or one of a couple of other automated-decision types your organization may use.
  3. Optionally, fill in Reference (optional): an id from the item, if you have one.
  4. In Why is it wrong?, explain what happened and why the decision doesn't reflect reality.
  5. Select Raise dispute.

What happens next

Your dispute is confirmed with a toast: "Dispute raised", *"A human will review it. You'll see the outcome here."* It appears at the top of Your disputes, starting in the Open state, and the item you disputed is frozen from any further automated decision until a person resolves it. It may move through Open and Under review before that happens. When it's decided, you'll see the outcome as Upheld or Overturned, together with the reviewer's own note explaining why. If you change your mind while it's still active, you can withdraw it yourself from the same list.

If it doesn't work

The Raise dispute button stays disabled until you've written a reason. A dispute can't be logged with no explanation. If the submission fails for another reason, you'll see a "Couldn't raise your dispute" toast with the reason, or, if you're signed out, "Your session may have expired, or you don't have access to this."
